Your challenge is to Automate the operational tasks and make sure the operations of a team runs smoothly.

As an ops expert you will be responsible for the availability, performance, change management (CICD, rollouts-rollbacks), efficiency, monitoring, dash-boarding, emergency response for a product. You have a drive to automate operational tasks. In other words, you will be integral to the design, set up, automation, and maintenance of our entire integration, delivery, and operations pipeline as a part of your workload. You will be embedded into a development team, using the remainder of your time to participate in the development of the product. 

As site reliability engineer you’re responsible for:
• Automate delivery (CICD) and operations (including error handling and recovery).
• Help decide what tools to use in the space of CICD, instrumentation for observability, dashboarding.
• Containerization of our software.
• Integrate tests (unit, integration, api, fitness) into the automation pipeline at the right locations.
• Integrating feature tests (requirements tests) into the automation pipeline.
• Develop the product with the rest of the team in the remainder of the time.

Je profiel

  • Bachelor or master degree;
  • Experience in a specifically DevOps role supporting developers by providing infrastructure, maintaining CI/CD systems;
  • Experience in overall software development and distributed applications;
  • Strong experience in the Azure cloud environment;
  • Good experience with Terraform (and Infrastructure as Code, in general);
  • Experience with Azure pipelines and Jenkins;
  • Advanced automated script design, coding, debugging, and maintenance skills (using bash, python, etc).
  • Experience in CI/CD toolsets (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab, SonarQube, etc).
  • Passion for new technologies, software & processes.
  • Good communication skills to be able to explain to both technical and non-technical stakeholders about what you can do for them.

De afdeling

De groep Digitale Transformatie bestaat uit circa 40 collega’s en maakt onderdeel uit van de afdeling Digitale Transformatie en IT. De uitdaging van deze groep is om de engineeringprocessen van Movares zo snel en vergaand mogelijk te automatiseren. De digitale revolutie speelt een cruciale rol in de toekomst van ons ingenieursbureau. We gebruiken steeds meer data om te inventariseren, voorspellen en vraagstukken op te lossen. Handmatige processen worden geautomatiseerd waarbij we gebruikmaken van innovatieve software. Het team is jong, gedreven en inventief. Zo kun je regelmatig deelnemen aan hackathons waarbij complexe problemen getackeld worden. Eigen initiatief en innovatieve ideeën zijn zeer welkom en noodzakelijk om elkaar steeds weer naar een hoger niveau te tillen.
