Movares was commissioned by the Hyacint consortium (Besix/Dura Vermeer) to produce the preliminary design, final design and construction design to a very tight schedule. For this project, Movares is one of a large number of partners working in integrated teams to make the project a success, and hence an example for future tunnel renovation projects.

In addition to carrying out the civil engineering work, we advised on tunnel safety (performing a qualitative risk assessment) and fire safety. The new LTS 1.2 tunnel standard applied.
