Latvian Railways (LDz) have drawn up an FIDIC contract with a number of partners, including Siemens, for the modernization of Šķirotava Freight Marshalling Yard near Riga.

LDz asked Witteveen+Bos to provide project and contract management services, and Witteveen+Bos asked Movares to provide an expert in this field.

Advising on the design, building and testing of the new system.

Collaboration

Siemens was commissioned by BMGS, a Latvian rail contractor.

Innovation is one of our pillars

Extended the MSR32 system they installed in 2000 at Kijfhoek Marshalling Yard and Limmattal. A hump control system is an oddity in the railway world, in that it more closely resembles a process control system than an interlocking.
