Leading to the FIFA World Cup in 2022 Qatar Rail is working on the extension of their metro network.
The first phase of the new Green Line will have a length of 22 km, with 11 stations on it. The design for this project is split into a few parts and one of the engineering companies is the DAR Group. This sub project contains the Al Riffa Station and a 3.2 km part of the track. Movares helps DAR by drawing up a number of reliability, availability, maintainability and safety related documents which are required for the metro line.
A close cooperation between the designers and Movares is required and all documents from Movares will need a final approval from Qatar Rail to enable commissioning for the Green Line.

For this project several specialists from the Movares RAMS Group, Safe Systems Group and EMC Group have drawn up the following documents:

• Engineering Safety Validation Plan;
• RAM Demonstration Plan;
• Quantative Risk Analysis Report;
• Operations & Maintenance Plan;
• SIL Assessment Report;
• Earthing and Bonding Plan;
• Interface Hazard Log;
• Hazard Analysis Report;
• Reliability & Safety Critical Items List;
• FMECA Analysis Report;
• Design Safety Case;
• Human Factors Studies Report;
• RAM Assessment Report;
• RAM Specification Report;
• EMC Hazard Analysis;
• EMC Hazard Log;
• EMC Systems Requirements.
