Cooperation between ProRail and Movares is more than just a technical/innovation concept: it’s a new dynamic in the world of interlockings. The development of Eurolocking means interlockings are prepared for the future.
Since 2012, the railway world has had a new, open interlocking system; Eurolocking, which Movares developed in cooperation with ProRail. Movares had submitted an unsolicited proposal to ProRail for the development of the new system.
Following tests, the system was approved for use at the end of 2012. Both parties can use the new interlocking to submit bids in response to calls for tender.
